Dinner with the Paulin's!

Troy, Katie, and Cooper came over Saturday night and we celebrated Tyler's 34th birthday with them. They are great friends who we just love to spend time with! They gave Tyler a rocket ship which Tanner and Tyler shot off! It was so much fun for them! Katie made an amazing cake from scratch as well! I will have to get the recipe from her to share, it was soooo good!

Tanner can't keep his hands off Cooper, he LOVES him! Always wanting to touch him and kiss him! It's great and Cooper doesn't seem to mind too much! And Carter, well, Carter is just busy!

Lisa's 32nd Birthday Bash!

We went over to the Sterling's this afternoon for a BBQ to celebrate Lisa's birthday. It was great fun to get to eat yummy food and visit with great friends! All the kids were able to play together too!

We went to Rafiki today with Mimi and had a great time! Carter even did some really big walking! We have a little video footage but we missed his huge trek across the play area of Rafiki.

Carter was climbing in and out of this chair, he was having the best time!

When we were at Rafiki, Tanner met some little girls and they ended up serving him food and then cleaning for him! It was hilarious! He sat at that little table and "ate" his plastic food for longer than he does at home with real food!

Water Fun!

Carter is 14 months old and he LOVES being a baby! He basks in his babyhood! He is perfectly content being the little baby, and to tell you the truth, I have loved his extended babyhood too! I had been trying to wean him out of his infant tub for the last 8 months or so and had not succeeded at all. Finally, tonight, he took a bath with Tanner in the big tub and loved it!

Tanner on the Slip-n-Slide. He still doesn't really "get it" that the whole point of the Slip-n-Slide is to run and then slide on your belly! He has a great time and that's all that matters!

An Afternoon with Chris and Cam!

We got to hang out with Chris and Cam today! It was so much fun! We met at Baja Fresh for lunch and Cam, Carter, and I sat at one table while Chris and Tanner sat at another table. Evidently, that was the 3 and over boys table! That actually worked out just great because it gave Cam and I a chance to talk! With only Carter at our table, the only thing I had to make sure of was that he was eating and that he was not climbing out of his high chair-a trick that he seems to love to do these days! That, and climb out of his crib! Tanner was very well behaved for Uncle Chris! I love Baja Fresh, it's so yummy, and they have a great kids meal too!

After that, we came back to the house to play and visit! Auntie Cam and Carter practiced walking. Carter is getting better and better each day with walking and his motor skills. His record right now is 12 steps before falling down! I just love this age and seeing him try to walk because he looks like a little Frankenstein with his arms outreached and his legs straight while he walks. It cracks me up! The boys loved messing around with Uncle Chris! They definitely tag teamed him but he was able to hold his own against the "Fighting Compton Brother's"!

It was great to hang out with the both of you!

August Birthdays!

This afternoon we celebrated all the August birthdays in the family. I completely forgot my camera which sucks! We had such a great time! We all went over to Tyler's parents house for a BBQ. Cameron, Jill, and Caden were there along with Nana and Great Grandma Compton. We celebrated birthdays for Jill, Cameron, Tyler, Kris, and Nana! It was just like Christmas! The food was delicious and company and conversation was even better! Parties are so much fun with the three little boys all running around playing! Tanner just LOVES Grandma and Grandpa's house! He plays so hard over there, there is so much to do and see, he really wears himself out! Carter and Caden are absolutely adorable together too! It is so much fun to see them play together and "talk" back and forth, crawl all around, and play toys! They are pure entertainment! If I had remembered my camera, I am pretty sure all the pictures would have been of just the 2 of them! Luckily, Caden is going to come over tomorrow afternoon while Aunt Jill gets her hair done so I can get plenty of pictures then! Happy August Birthdays!

The Idaho Wedding Reception!

My mom threw Chris and Cam a reception up here in Idaho! It was super fun and she did a wonderful job! I did a semi-decent job of photographing the evening, but I must say, I could have done a much better job. I was too busy drinking coolers and talking about taxes and triathlons!
