Tostada Tuesday!

We love Tostada's in this house! They are delicious! Today I decided to try to make my own seasoning for the meat. I just use taco meat and seasoning for the Tostada's. I have had this recipe for some time now and never tried it. It was excellent and I don't think I can ever go back to the packaged stuff now, this was too easy and too delicious! Here is the line up!
1 Tablespoon plus 1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1 1/2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
2 Teaspoons Parsley
2 Teaspoons Salt
1 1/2 Teaspoons Cumin
1 Teaspoon Oregano
2 Teaspoons Paprika
1 Teaspoon Sugar
Mix it all together and add it to the ground taco/tostada meat when it is almost done cooking! This makes enough for 2 lbs of meat. Yummy!

The dinner actually completely rocked because of the home made tortilla chips I made to go along with the "from scratch" seasoning. I also made home made ranch dressing and the most delicious guacamole ever! For the chips, just take 8 corn tortilla's and cut the into fourths to make wedges. Place them on a cookie sheet (without the wire rack, that didn't work) directly on the cookie sheet and baste them with a little olive oil and sprinkle some salt onto them. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Wonderful!!

The Best Guacamole!

2 large Avocados
Lime Juice
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 Tblsp finely chopped cilantro
2 tblsp finely chopped Maui Sweet Onion (Walla Walla works too!)
1 Jalapeno seeded and finely chopped
2 Roma Tomatoes chopped
2 Green Onions finely chopped
Salt and Pepper

Mix and Eat!
